Determination & Strength

"It paws fiercely, rejoicing in its strength, and charges into the fray. It laughs at fear, afraid of nothing; it does not shy away from the sword. The quiver rattles against its side, ... along with the flashing spear and lance. In frenzied excitement it eats up the ground; it cannot stand still when the trumpet sounds." - Job 39: 21

Dementia

A mind that is coming and going…what a terrible thing to live through. Not only for the person with the disease, but the people around it. Not knowing what point of your life you’re in, whether it be an adult, a child, a teenager, a baby. This horrible disease completely overtakes your life and doesn’t allow you to be the “normal” person God intended you to be. I have someone in my family with dementia. When I go visit her in the hospital she lays there in a vegetative state. Unaware of what’s going on around her. Talking to me asking me to go and play because she thinks we're both kids- She's 91 and I'm 27. Someone who I’ve been around my whole life…doesn’t even know me anymore. What a cruel trick our body can play on us! But, one day when all the pain is gone and you're flying above clouds of white...we'll play...oh yes we will!!!

Anyone lived in a pretty how town...

anyone lived in a pretty how town

anyone lived in a pretty how town
(with up so floating many bells down)
spring summer autumn winter
he sang his didn't he danced his did.

Women and men (both little and small)
cared for anyone not at all
they sowed their isn't they reaped their same
sun moon stars rain

children guessed (but only a few
and down they forgot as up they grew
autumn winter spring summer)
that noone loved him more by more

when by now and tree by leaf
she laughed his joy she cried his grief
bird by snow and stir by still
anyone's any was all to her

someones married their everyones
laughed their cryings and did their dance
(sleep wake hope and then)they
said their nevers they slept their dream

stars rain sun moon
(and only the snow can begin to explain
how children are apt to forget to remember
with up so floating many bells down)

one day anyone died i guess
(and noone stooped to kiss his face)
busy folk buried them side by side
little by little and was by was

all by all and deep by deep
and more by more they dream their sleep
noone and anyone earth by april
with by spirit and if by yes.

Women and men (both dong and ding)
summer autumn winter spring
reaped their sowing and went their came
sun moon stars rain

My Star in the Evening

You,
content of all content
your lovely face
told of a long life
I see the miles on your lips
Oh, those whaling eyes
sparkling blue
lashes of butterfly's
waking love
your staying love
you never ask for anything
no cross word ever spoken
pure of all pure
your truth never be broken
stay with me
stay with me
don't ever go
your hands carry promises
never to be let go
your eyes cut like glass
to lives that exist of ignorance
for if they only knew
only knew
...YOU

I have complete contentment to inhale you with my whole being!

The way love should be

Put out my eyes, and I can see you still;
slam my ears too, and I can hear you yet;
and without any feet can go to you;
and tongueless, I can conjure you at will.
Break off my arms, I shall take hold of you
and grasp you with my heart as with a hand;
arrest my heart, my brain will beat as true;
and if you set this brain of mine afire,
then my blood I yet will carry you.

-Ranier Maria Rilke (1875-1926)

Truth

You're like an ox going to slaughter
wanting to find your empty mold
but, this time when you fall, you'll fall hard
because nothing will be there to catch you
for this time she is closing this chapter of her life
she's done, VAMINOS!!!
